The Department of Geology in the Franklin College of Arts & Sciences at the University of Georgia (UGA) seeks to recruit one (1) MS student to join Dr. Adam Milewski’s research group (Water Resources & Remote Sensing Laboratory) for Spring 2025.
You will be contributing toward the development of a machine learning model for coastal Georgia to identify and characterize the processes and variables controlling groundwater level fluctuations in a coastal setting. Also, you will also predict groundwater level fluctuations in the absence of areas with inadequate groundwater level monitoring, and evaluate the predictions using both existing in situ observations and a hydrodynamic model.
