Eligibility Criteria for the UBC MasterCard Scholarship 2025:
- Must be a citizen or refugee of a Sub-Saharan African country and have lived a significant part of their life in that region.
- Must be 35 years old or younger at the time of application
- Must have completed a Bachelor’s degree.
- Should not already possess a graduate or PhD degree.
- Must present economically disadvantaged financial circumstances.
- Must have achieved academic excellence under difficult circumstances.
- Should show leadership qualities or potential.
- Must demonstrate an interest in and commitment to giving back to their home community.
- Must require a Canadian study permit to study in Canada.
- Should not have claimed or plan to claim asylum or protected person status after arriving in Canada.
